Rev. John M. McLean
…works with individuals, ministries, and non-profit organizations in support of their needs and aspirations.
As a ‘pulpit minister’, he is currently the Senior Minister at Unity of Kalamazoo, Michigan. Previously, he’s served Unity ministries in Nashville, Tennessee, Bellevue, Washington, Cottonwood, Arizona, as well as The Center for Spiritual Living in Los Angeles.
Rev. McLean spent all of his prior work-life involved in the creative arts — in public philanthropy, pop culture, and museum programming.
He earned a BA in Art History from George Washington University, Washington, DC and an MA in Creation Spirituality from Naropa University/University of Creation Spirituality, Oakland, California.
He was ordained in June 2003 after completing the Ministerial Education Program at Unity School, Unity Village, Missouri and is also an Ordained Minister with the International Centers for Spiritual Living.
MY OBJECTIVE
My purpose remains to share what I love, and teach what I know. I aim to support all who are seeking "a God of their understanding" and support them as they aspire to a fuller experience of life.
I see my chief work as a teacher of Principle, joyfully celebrating the Divine as the human experience, connections between New Thought precepts & the Perennial Philosophy, and an exuberant sense of the possible.
In all I do, I strive to close the gap between “what we know and how we live” and to express these values: Compassion as Inclusivity, Prosperity as the Fullness of Life, Joy as Creativity, and as an Advocate for the Wellness of Soul, Soil & Society.
